SMELL LIKE A ROSE
After a sweaty day on tour I shower with my jersey and shorts still on and soap them just as I do my body. Rinse, turn them inside out and repeat. Remove and complete my shower. I found it to be the best way to get the sweat out of my biking clothes short of a washing machine.

SMELL LIKE A BIKERIDER
After a sweaty day on tour in colder weather I don't bother to shower at all. Remember the English Channel swimmers who cover their bodies in whale blubber or industrial strength Vaseline? Same trick. The dirt and grime of a good hill climb tangled together with any body hair you may have (sorry girls, this tip doesn't work as well for you) help create a nice insulating layer. And contrary to all that talk about training it helps to stick on a few pounds of insulating fat, you can work it all off by the time summer arrives. Remember, only Polar Bears and members of the Iceberg club get into water in winter, and they don't usually ride bikes.
